How the Program Works
When the program launches on December 1, here’s what you’ll do:
- Download the Rain app (available for Android and iOS) and complete your profile.
- See your available earnings in real time as you work.
- Choose an amount to transfer, which will be deducted from your next paycheck.
Are You Eligible?
All active employees in the US, Puerto Rico and US Virgin Islands are eligible for the EWA program. Eligible employees will be able to access up to 50% of their regular earned wages through Rain for the current pay period. Once the pay period ends, the available balance resets to $0 until your next shift is worked.

Q: What is Rain?
A: Rain is a financial wellness benefit offered by T-Mobile. Through the Rain app, you can take out advances on your upcoming paycheck.
Q: Is this a loan?
A: No—only regular wages you’ve already earned are accessible.
Q: Will this cost me or the company?
A: There’s no interest for you. Any fees will be clearly communicated. The company has chosen this benefit to support you.
Q: How is my available balance calculated?
A: You can access up to 50% of your earned wages through Rain in a given pay period. Your available balance is calculated by multiplying your hourly rate by the number of regular hours you work and dividing it in half.
Ex.: If your hourly rate is $10/hour and you worked 8 hours, you would see $40 added to your account. The balance will accrue throughout the pay period every day you work, and reset at the end of the pay period.
Q: How often does my Rain balance refresh?
A: Your account balance will update within 24 hours of clocking out of your last shift. If you are a salaried employee, your balance will accrue daily. If you don’t clock out, your hours won’t be transferred to Rain.
Q: How often can I use it?
A: You’ll be able to access your accrued funds as needed as they become available.
